Emmett Forrester

Emmett Forrester began serving in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer at Riverside Preparatory Academy in September 2023.

 

A Gainesville native who literally grew up in the shadows of the Riverside campus, Emmett graduated from Gainesville High School and attended Furman University where he graduated in 1991 with a degree in accounting.

 

Emmett’s professional career and experience has spanned thirty plus years in the healthcare sector. He began his career locally with the Northeast Georgia Health System. He then transitioned to physician practice management working at the Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic for approximately twenty years in the capacities of both CFO and CEO, and immediately prior to joining Riverside Preparatory Academy, working at The Longstreet Clinic for approximately seven years in the capacity of CFO.

 

Emmett has been married to Julie Scroggs Forrester, also a Gainesville native, for over 30 years. They have two children, Bartley and Lydia. Bartley is a recent graduate of Georgia Tech and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Analytics while completing his final year of NCAA eligibility as a member of the Georgia Tech Men’s Golf Team. Lydia is currently a student at the University of Georgia where she plans to pursue a degree from the Terry College of Business while also honing her leadership skills as a Panhellenic Council Delegate for her sorority.
